Iran finishes 3rd at Asian U18 Volleyball C’ships

TEHRAN, Jul. 07 (MNA) – In the third place playoff match held on Friday, Iran won Chinese Taipei 3-1 (25-23, 23-25, 25-16, 25-20) to gain the third rank of the 12th Asian Men’s U18 Volleyball Championships.

Japan gained a 3-1 victory over South Korea in the final match and claimed the title.

Iranian young volleyball players won India in straight sets on Wednesday to reach the semi-final and secured their berth to contest the 2019 FIVB Men’s U19 Volleyball Championship.

On Thursday, Iran faced Japan in the semi-final match and was beaten 3-1 by the East Asian team.

The 12th Asian Men’s U18 Volleyball Championships was held on June 29 to July 6 in Tabriz, East Azarbaijan.
